According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wakefield, rain and snow showers are likely before 1 p.m., with scattered rain showers between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible, the NWS cited.
According to a weather service statement from the NWS, temperatures are expected to be slightly above freezing, meaning roads should remain mainly wet. However, elevated surfaces such as overpasses may become a little slippery. “As such, use caution if driving this morning,” the NWS statement cited.
