Crew members and first responders arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle accident in the area of Route 40, K-V Road and Oaks Road Friday. Both drivers were checked on scene, according to Virginia State Police (VSP), but did not require transportation for treatment. According to VSP officials, “a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer was making a left turn from westbound Route 40 into a driveway when the vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2005 Nissan Altima.” Police said the driver of the Nissan was charged with following too closely.
