LCPS Division Spelling Bee winners

Lunenburg County Public Schools held its Division Spelling Bee Friday, Jan. 4. Congratulations to Serenity Havens, eighth grader at Lunenburg Middle School and daughter of Andrew and Colleen Havens, who is this year’s Lunenburg County Division Spelling Bee Winner. Serenity’s winning word was “reprimand.” Levi Peacock, fourth grader at Victoria Elementary School and son of Daniel and Mary Beth Peacock, was runner-up. Zach Simpson, fifth grader at Kenbridge Elementary School and son of David and Donna Simpson, was third place. Serenity will go on to participate in the Richmond Times-Dispatch Spelling Bee which will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, at The Library of Virginia.
