William Henry Hite, Jr.

William Henry Hite, Jr. was born on September 27, 1983 in Richmond, Virginia, to William H. Hite, Sr., and Mattie Sue Blackwell.

He received his education in the Lunenburg County Public Schools and graduated from Central High.

At an early age he was baptized and joined the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Kenbridge, Virginia where he remained a member until his death.

His employment was Jones Apparels and Walmart South Hill and Blackstone, Virginia.

William loved playing games and being with family.

William departed this life on Wednesday December 26, 2018 at his home in Kenbridge, Virginia.

He is preceded in death by Rosa Chatman who was like a mother to him.

William leaves to cherish loving memories: to his father, William H. Hite, Sr., mother, Mattie Sue Blackwell Evans and step-father (Robert), one brother, Bravell Blackwell (Chris) and one sister, Charletha Craig, grandparents, James Chatman who was like a grandfather, grandmother, Margaret Blackwell, Betty Spratley, and George Blackwell, aunts, Diane Macklin (Edward), Joyce Stith (James), Annie Ragsdale, Mary Ann Jones, Ruby Hite, Annette Hite, uncles, Donnell Blackwell, William Blackwell (Darlene), Albert Blackwell (Chtidty), Willard Booth, Jr. (Shay) Fletcher Hite, Jr., Lawrence Hite, Earl Hite, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted December 30 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Kenbridge with the Rev. Anna Wilson, eulogist. Interment was in Falls Road Cemetery, Kenbridge.

S.P. Jones & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
