Doris Jeter Slaughter, 88, of Victoria, Va. joined her family in Heaven on Jan. 27, 2019. She was the widow of Jerry Clyde “Billy” Slaughter. She is survived by her son Danny Ray Slaughter of Victoria, her grandchildren, Josh Slaughter (Danielle) of Hubert, NC and Amanda R. Schumaker (Steven), and great-granddaughter Marley Schumaker, all of Kenbridge.

Doris was a member of the Victoria Christian Church. She was a retired employee of Craddock Terry Shoe Corporation in Victoria, and former employee of North American Reiss Corporation in Blackstone and The Victoria Public Library. Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Cool Springs Christian Church Cemetery, Keysville.
