Kenbridge native Theressa Lee, now residing in Petersburg, was recently presented an award for being the top agent for Woodmen of the World. In addition, she has received awards for Agent of the Month and Outstanding General Agent of the Year. She also won the president’s trip to Los Angeles, California.
Lee has been in the insurance business for 40 years. In 1992, she started her tenure with Woodmen Life Insurance Society in Omaha, Nebraska. She was the first African-American to work for the company — worldwide.
According to a release, “Lee thanks God, her family, office managers, and agent supervisors for their support during her insurance journey.”
