MONTH OF MARCH

QUILT EXHIBITION, at Victoria Public Library displaying the breathtaking work of Frances Amos Palmer who died in October. The library hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon.

MARCH 22-24

DISNEY’S FREAKY FRIDAY, 7 p.m. at Central High School gymnasium hosted by Central High School Fine Arts department. Freaky Friday is a new musical by Bridget Carpenter with music by Tom Kitt and lyrics by Brian Yorkey.

MARCH 23

FREEDOM FUND BANQUET, 4 p.m. of the Lunenburg County Branch NAACP. Guest speaker will be Nathan S. Burwell, III. Everyone is welcome.

ANNUAL PRAYER BREAKFAST, 9 a.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church hosted by the pastor’s aide. Everyone is welcome.

MARCH 24

WORSHIP SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 2104 Jonesboro Road, Kenbridge with The Rev. Darrell K. Jones, pastor elect.

BOOK SIGNING, 2-4 p.m. at Ripberger Public Library in Kenbridge with author Francis Eugene Wood. Francis is an area author who has written numerous books and story collections.

MISSIONARY MINISTRY ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at New Galilee Church. Guest pastor will be the Rev. Pamela Simmons along with her choir and congregation from Bethlehem RZUA Church, Lunenburg. All are welcome.

MARCH 25

MONTHLY MEETING, 6 p.m. of the Lunenburg County Democratic Party Committee at the Senior Citizens Building, Tidewater Avenue, Victoria. All are welcome.

MARCH 28

MONTHLY MEETING, 6-8 p.m. of The Lunenburg County Public Library System’s Board of Trustees at the Victoria Public Library. This meeting is open to the public.

MARCH 31

LUNENBURG COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING, 2 p.m. at the Ripberger Public Library, Kenbridge. Greg Eanes, mayor of Crewe, lecturer at Hampden-Sydney College, and retired Air Force colonel, will discuss Tarleton’s Southside Raid, based on his book of the same name. This British raid took place during the last months of the American Revolution and impacted Lunenburg County. Everyone welcome.

MUSICAL SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church, 2006 County Line Road, Keysville. Lunch to follow at noon. Musical guests are The Finneys. All are welcome.

APRIL 2

HOMEOWNER EDUCATION CLASS, Personal finances 6-8 p.m. at Farmville United Methodist Church, 212 High St., Farmville. This class is required of all new Habitat Partner families.
