Robbie Johnson Burner

Robbie Johnson Burner, 85, of Keysville, Virginia, passed away at home on March 20, 2019, after a brave battle with cancer. One of seven children born to Virgil James and Dicie Newton Johnson of Jenkins County, Georgia, Robbie lived and worked in Chesapeake for many years before retiring with her husband Farrell to their Flying B Farm. She loved the farm life and raising horses, and was a member of Emmanuel Bible Church of Keysville. Robbie was passionate about Gospel music and enjoyed traveling with Farrell and her grandchildren to Gaither concerts and Gospel events around the country. Those who knew Robbie found her a warm, welcoming soul, a devoted christian, and a wonderful cook.
She is survived by her husband Farrell, her daughter Marcia and son-in-law Wes Thomas of Suffolk, her daughter Angela Mizelle of Chesapeake, grandchildren, Stephen Thomas, Joseph Thomas, Clayton Thomas, Jessica Graham, Stephanie Mizelle, Kyle Graham, and Melanie Graham, great -grandchildren, Sophia, Jack, and Claire Thomas, as well as her sisters Virginia Weatherford and Mary Pitts of Georgia. She is preceded by her parents and her son Leonard Graham.
Services were held Sunday, March 24, at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Bible Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
