SVCC host Careers 4 Girls in IT

Southside Virginia Community College and special guests hosted a “Careers 4 Girls In IT” event at Kenston Forest School (KFS) on March 13 for KFS seventh –10th grade female students. KFS eighth-grader Sophie Crowder planned the event with Kelly Arnold, SVCC Apprenticeship Coordinator. Guest speakers shared their personal and work experiences in the field of Information Technology (IT). Students participated in hands on activities such as taking part and putting back together laptops.
