Living my best life

I am in sunny, Land O’ Lakes, Florida. The weather is beautiful and hot the way I like it. The adults are at work, the children are at school and the house is so peaceful. I’m going to take my coffee and sit on the patio to listen to the birds sing. Later I’ll take a stroll around the neighborhood.

Today, when my daughter gets home, we will go to the store where I will buy 10 cards and send them to family and friends for no other reason than to let them know that they are in my thoughts. Everyone likes to receive cards. Sometimes, when I go into the card store, I stay for hours trying to find the card that will say exactly what I want to say. Most of the time I make my own cards to give it a personal touch.

I have always dreamed of getting in the car and drive until I get tried. Then stopping and spend the night at a hotel, waking up the next morning and start driving again with the wind blowing and the radio blasting. But now instead of driving, I’m flying everywhere I need to go. On April 1, I will be in Florida for my grandson’s 40th birthday party; on April 20, I will be in Richmond for my granddaughters wedding, and April 27, I will be in Delaware for my grandson’s 35th birthday party.

I thank Jesus because I have asked for years that my latter days be better than my early days and He has granted my wish. I am free to travel and to do some of the things I have always wanted to do. Things are beginning to look up. Every day I thank Jesus for my many, many, blessings.

I am living my best life now. I don’t know why Jesus loves me so and to tell the truth I don’t really care. The thing that I care about is that we have a mutual love, He loves me and I love Him. I have not done anything that was great to earn His Love, the only thing that I have to give is love, and that is what Jesus requires.

Psalm 57:9 I will praise Thee, O Lord, among the people; I will sing unto Thee among the nations. Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
