Rommie Durwood Glasscock Jr.

Rommie Durwood Glasscock, Jr., 81, of Victoria, Va. joined his family in Heaven on March 24, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rommie D. and Martha C. Glasscock; his brother, William Edward Glasscock and his sister Lucile G. Cristo. He was the loving husband of the late Emily Bomar Glasscock.

He is survived by his children, Mechelle G. Stone and R.D. “Chip” Glaasscock, III (April); three grandchildren, Sarah Meghan Pearce, Lindsey Caitlyn Glasscock and Zachary Daniel Glasscock and great-grandson, Elijah Jordan Pearce.

Durwood graduated from Victoria High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked on the Railroad for 39 years. He started with the Virginian Railroad and retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad as a conductor. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and devoted family man. He will be missed by all.
