Elementary school students recently paraded through the Town of Victoria decked out in costumes, dressing as favorite characters in books. Whether it be superheroes, firefighters, princesses, sports players, animals and notable literary characters such as Junie B. Jones, children and teachers paraded around the Victoria Elementary School building and beyond. Character Day is an annual event meant to encourage reading by dressing up in fun costumes that resemble storybook characters. McKenna Gravitte, dressed as Supergirl, smiles for the camera.
