Christopher Hunter Mc­Craw, 19, of Blackstone, ar­rived at home plate April 11, 2019, alongside his buddy, Austin Daniels of Victoria.

Born August 18, 1999, Hunter was preceded in death by uncles Joseph Adkins and David McCraw; and grandfa­ther Wayne Adkins.

Hunter is survived by his parents, John (Jr.) & Stepha­nie McCraw of Blackstone; his sisters, Shauna & Kayla; maternal grandmother Diana Glover of Meherrin; pater­nal grandparents Tricia Abel (Billy) of Crewe and John Mc­Craw, Sr. (Connie) of Black­stone; maternal great-grandmother Peggy T. Newman of Meherrin.

Hunter is also survived by the love of his life, Courtney Daniels of Victoria, who was Austin’s sister; along with nu­merous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Hunter was a 2017 High Honors graduate of Nottoway High School and was sched­uled to graduate in May from Southside Virginia Communi­ty College. He was employed by Swift Creek Contracting.

Hunter had a huge heart and always had a smile on his face. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He had a love for the game of base­ball. He was free-spirited and lived life to the fullest.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 27th at 4:00 p.m. at Golubic Stadium in Crewe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made at any branch of Citi­zens Bank & Trust.
