Christopher Hunter McCraw

Christopher Hunter McCraw, 19, of Blackstone, arrived at home plate April 11, 2019, alongside his buddy, Austin Daniels of Victoria.
Born August 18, 1999, Hunter was preceded in death by uncles Joseph Adkins and David McCraw; and grandfather Wayne Adkins.
Hunter is survived by his parents, John (Jr.) & Stephanie McCraw of Blackstone; his sisters, Shauna & Kayla; maternal grandmother Diana Glover of Meherrin; paternal grandparents Tricia Abel (Billy) of Crewe and John McCraw, Sr. (Connie) of Blackstone; maternal great-grandmother Peggy T. Newman of Meherrin.
Hunter is also survived by the love of his life, Courtney Daniels of Victoria, who was Austin’s sister; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Hunter was a 2017 High Honors graduate of Nottoway High School and was scheduled to graduate in May from Southside Virginia Community College. He was employed by Swift Creek Contracting.
Hunter had a huge heart and always had a smile on his face. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He had a love for the game of baseball. He was free-spirited and lived life to the fullest.
Memorial services were held Saturday, April 27th at 4 p.m. at Golubic Stadium in Crewe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made at any branch of Citizens Bank & Trust.
