Central High School’s varsity soccer team is doing well, developmentally, as it prepares for the postseason, which follows last week’s conclusion to the regular season. “After a season of hardships, the team has finally come together and is playing well, despite some close losses at the end of the season,” Chargers Head Coach Hunter Dipaolo said. “Hopefully, we will continue playing as a team as we head into regional playoffs.” He noted Central (4-11-1) will play its Region 1B tournament opener Tuesday at 6 p.m. “We will most likely play Altavista,” Dipaolo said Tuesday morning, “but there is a small chance that could change this week, and we end up playing Riverheads.” Leading the way for the Chargers will be its seniors, who are pictured above on Senior Night.
