James Harry Hainsworth of Plantersville, VA, 86, beloved husband of Judi, went home to the Lord on April 12, 2019. Jim was born in Bridgeport, CT on December 17, 1932. In 1954, he enlisted in the army as a medic. Jim served with distinction in the Vietnam war, earning the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. After moving to Lunenburg County, Jim served in many clubs and civic organizations. He was a Mason, and a member of the VFW, Ruritans, Lions, and American Legion. He loved to sing and play the mandolin. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Judith, daughter Brigitte Cooper, sons Steven Hainsworth, Kenneth Rohlfing, Jr., Lawrence Rohlfing, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Internment services will be on 7 June, 2019 at 3 p.m. at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, Va. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to your local volunteer rescue squad.
