VFW Post 9954 requested citizens use the Flag Disposal Box located in Victoria. This box is used to collect national flags that are worn beyond repair. The community overwhelmingly accepted its invitation and the disposal was filled with over 125 flags when last emptied. VFW Post 9954 welcomes everyone to attend the proper retirement of those flags. Flags will be accepted on the day of the ceremony as well. The ceremony will be held at VFW Post 9954 in Victoria, Saturday, June 8, at 9 a.m. This is a great opportunity to see how the national flag is retired with dignity and respect. All are welcome to attend the ceremony.
