Lunenburg Assistant County Administrator Nicole Clark and Animal Control Officer Ray Elliott confirmed that Tommy Duncan has recently been hired in a part-time role as Kennel Attendant/Assistant to the Animal Control Officer.

Deputy Animal Control Officer Noyse E. King left employment with the county to pursue other endeavors, Clark said.

This development will not affect the hours of the animal control office, Clark said, which vary depending on calls received by the Animal Control Officer, as many require the officer to travel to the location of the call.

Elliott said Duncan is currently learning the roles of the job and has been doing well.

“(He’s) doing a great job with that for the county,” Elliott said about the training.
