JUNE 24-28

REVIVAL, 7 p.m. nightly at New Galilee Baptist Church. Guest minister will be the Rev. Mack Talley with a different choir each night. All are welcome.

REVIVAL, 7 p.m. nightly at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. Different ministers, along with their church family, will render the service each night.


CANCELLATION, Women’s Ministry program at First Baptist Church, Victoria, has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION, at Meherrin Fire House. Stew will be ready by 11 a.m. with vendors and music beginning at 4 p.m. Free admission with a boot drive at the gate. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Alcohol and pets are prohibited.

OUTDOOR YOGA, 8 a.m. at the Kenbridge Town Hall, Kenbridge.


MUSICAL SERVICE, 11 a.m. Union Grove Baptist Church, 2006 County Line Road, Keysville. Lunch will be served at noon. Musical guests are The Churchmen from North Carolina. All are welcome.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 3 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 6351 South Hill Road, Kenbridge. The guest messenger will be the Rev. Dr. James Taylor, III, pastor of the Jericho Baptist Church, Farmville, accompanied by his choir and congregation. Theme: “Pack the Pews with Your Favorite Color.” Come out and worship with us.


ORDINATION SERVICE, 3 p.m. at Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church, 3606 Kenbridge Road, Blackstone, for the Reverends Gerard Wilson and Carolyn Jones into the Gospel Ministry. The Ordination Council will convene at 2:30 p.m. All licensed and ordained ministers are welcomed in the Council. The Rev. Eva B. Hurt and the High Bridge Baptist Church of Rice will be the guest church in charge.


FIREWORKS AFTER DARK, 4:30-10:30 p.m. at Farmville Airport, 130 Wedgewood Drive, Farmville.


SECOND ANNUAL JULY JUBILEE, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Town of Kenbridge.


100 MILE YARD SALE, 7 a.m. beginning at Chula Junction Flea Market Antiques and Collectibles on U.S. Route 360 in Amelia.


BREAST CANCER WORKSHOP, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at R. T. Arnold Library, South Hill for women of all ages. Free blood pressure and sugar screening available. Learn about breast health education and awareness, intervention and early detection.
