A portion of the sewer main on Eight Street in the Town of Victoria is being replaced due to an issue with the sewer, according to Victoria Town Manager Rodney Newton. “The problem was found because of a sinkhole in the road,” Newton said. The area being repaired contains an 8-inch diameter pipe and the length of the replacement is 360 feet. Newton said water outages may have occurred during digging. Town forces with the assistance of a contractor are doing the work on the project.
