The Lunenburg County Youth Baseball League (LCYBL) Minors all-star team did what no other team could in the 2019 Dixie Youth Baseball Minor League District 5 Tournament in Crewe, taking down the Charlotte County All-Stars and claiming the district title and the sole berth in the upcoming state tourney.

To win the district title, the Lunenburg boys had to beat undefeated Charlotte twice, and they did so, thwarting a furious rally Tuesday for a 9-8 victory and then orchestrating a mercy rule-shortened 11-1 victory Wednesday at Beamer Field.
