The Lunenburg Chamber of Commerce and The Town of Kenbridge helped to make memories for the second year during the July Jubilee parade and celebration, held Thursday in the town.

The event kicked off with a parade through the town, followed by soccer and basketball tournaments held for children and families.

There were also area vendors, a fish fry at the Kenbridge Recreation Center, a petting zoo and barrel rides for children and families.

The first-ever Watermelon Eating Contest also had its first-ever winner, Chloe Stamper, who celebrated with her family.

Kenbridge Town Manager Robyn Fowler thanked everyone who served on the Jubilee Committee, the Chamber who sponsored the parade, local businesses who sponsored the Jubilee, vendors who participated in the event, town employees who helped with set up and tear down and everyone else who helped with the event.
