Wesley Shepherd, pictured left, newly selected Chair of the Southside Virginia Community College Local Board, welcomes Dr. Quentin Johnson, right, new president of the college, to his first board meeting on July 10. Shepherd, market executive for Touchstone Bank, has served on the board since 2015 and represents Nottoway County. Dr. Johnson began his duties on July 1 and is the sixth president in the history of SVCC.
