On Monday the Lunenburg County Chamber of Commerce held an evening social meeting at Rosewood Café. Ashley Sweitzer, the chamber secretary, shared, “The Lunenburg County Chamber of Commerce decided to try a different style of meeting for the month of August. Generally, the chamber meets the last Thursday of each month for a sit-down lunch. This makes it difficult for some of the members to attend the meetings. The idea was brought up to have a type of “social” meeting, where the members can socialize more or less and also discuss a bit of business.”

Chamber members enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and drinks provided by Paul and Kathy Davies, owners of Rosewood Café.

According to Sweitzer the chamber discussed a bit of business passing multiple donations that will be made within the county, along with a couple other items of interest. Sweitzer said specific announcements of donations will be forthcoming.

When asked about the evening meeting turnout Sweitzer shared, “We are extremely pleased with the turnout for this event and plan on having a social meeting at least once a quarter.”
