The Southern Virginia Daylily Club (SVDC) meets at 2:00 pm at the Butler Memorial Library in Chase City. The program will be a Plants-for-Members daylily auction. The SVDC club serves southern Virginia counties, including Brunswick, Charlotte, Halifax, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway and Prince Edward. For information call Belinda at (434) 294-4691.

DEACONS, DEACONESS AND TRUSTEE DAY, 3 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Kenbridge. The Rev. Diane Weeks from Mt. Oliver Baptist Church will be the guest speaker along with Spring Hill Baptist Church choir. Everyone is welcome.

MISSIONARY DAY, 11 a.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. Jackie Hawkes, associate pastor of Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist, Crewe, will be the guest preacher. Everyone is welcome.

TOUCH A TRUCK, 10 a.m-4 p.m. at Meherrin Volunteer Fire & Rescue. Vehicles to include, emergency vehicles, farm equipment, construction equipment and lots more. This is a family fun event featuring food, fun activities and more.

ANNUAL SUNDAY SCHOOL DAY, 11 a.m. at New Grove Baptist Church. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Sharon Baskerville, pastor-elect of Blooms Hill Baptist Church, South Hill. Music provided by the Bethany Baptist church choir.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Silone Baptist Church in honor of pastor, the Rev. Melvin J. Palmer with guest minister Pastor Garland Liggon, along with his choir, Faith Baptist of South Hill. Dinner will be served. Everyone is welcome.
