Victoria was the place to be Saturday morning as lines of cars and trucks rolled into town. The eighth annual Car Show Off and Cruise In was held along Court Street in Victoria. The event brought in a host of vintage cars and trucks and provided a time for friends and neighbors to come together.
The event, which was held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., included door prizes, vendors, food, 50/50 raffle and great conversation. According to organizers, Mike McGee and Mike Prather, over 150 vehicles were on display at this year’s event. Car enthusiasts from as far away as Danville, Tidewater, North Carolina and Richmond traveled in groups to show off the hard work that has been put into making the cars and trucks drivable and show car worthy. Many contributors donated door prizes to include a fourdrawer tool box, which was custom painted by Chris Ellis of South Hill. The winner of the tool box was Layon Maddox of Victoria.
This event was free, open to the public and enjoyed by all who attended.
