According to Victoria Town Manager Rodney Newton the 39th Annual Autumn Day celebration appeared to be a success this year.

“Over 35 vendor spaces in the park and many more in the craft house gave attendees many opportunities. There were many varieties of food available for purchase,” Newton stated.

Newton went on to say, “The Town of Victoria expresses its gratitude to all sponsors, vendors, and attendees for making this year’s event a success. Plans are already underway for the 40th Annual Autumn Day and to make it an even bigger event.”

The truck and tractor pull was another success.

There were 96 pulls during the course of five hours. Spectators were entertained by many classes of pulling vehicles even some monster trucks.

Truck pull winners were: Street gas: Alan Shumaker; Street Diesel: Jamie Donati; 6200 Open: Brandon Quick; 6200 Small Block: Delton Stallings; 6400 Pro Stock: Bobbie White; and 8000 Pro Street Diesel: Joey Saffell.

Victoria Fire and Rescue expressed it is very appreciative of all of the support for the event — the pullers that came out, the spectators, and all of the workers that come together to make this a huge event. Permanent lighting was added to the track for this event and plans are to construct a pavilion for the concession stand by the first event of 2020.
