TURKEY SHOOT, noon hosted by Rock Bridge Hunt Club at 2517 Lunenburg County Road, 3 miles west of Lunenburg Courthouse. Food and drink available. Turkeys, hams, bacon, hunting supplies and much more.

DAYLILY CLUB TO MEET, 2 p.m. at Butler Memorial Library in Chase City. Cynthia Wood will be the guest speaker. The Southern Virginia Daylily Club club serves the southern Virginia counties including Brunswick, Charlotte, Halifax, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway and Prince Edward. PASTOR ANNIVERSARY, 11:30 a.m. for the Rev. Ray Smith at Unity Baptist Church of Kenbridge.

OPEN HOUSE/ FALL FESTIVAL, noon-4 p.m. at the Southside SPCA, 7352 Patrick Henry Highway, Meherrin, for pets and humans. Raffle baskets, door prizes, live music, food truck, local vendor booths, fun for the kids and bake sale.

147TH CHURCH ANNIVERSARY, 1:30 p.m. at Pleasant Oak Baptist Church. Guest will be the Rev. Bernard Hill and the High Rock Baptist Church. Dinner will be served between services.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Silone Baptist Church in honor of pastor, the Rev. Melvin J. Palmer with guest minister Pastor Garland Liggon along with his choir, Faith Baptist of South Hill. Dinner will be served. Everyone is welcome.

19TH USHERS ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at RZUA Church, Meredithville. Four career speakers will address different subjects of success in their careers. Everyone welcome.

9TH PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church for Pastor Trava Hawkins. Dinner will be served.

CHOIR ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. Guest will be The New Beginnings and the Poplar Lawn Men’s Chorus. Everyone welcome.

FOOD SAFETY FOR HUNTERS, 7-9 p.m. at the Robert and Betty Ragsdale Community Center, 20916 Old School Road, McKinney. This event, sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension will teach food safety concerns when harvesting Whitetail deer. TRUNK OR TREAT, 5:30-7 p.m. in Victoria at the Victoria Railroad Park. The event for Kenbridge will held at the same time in the Kenbridge Town Hall parking lot, 511 E. Fifth Ave. Kids up to 13 years of age are welcome. Contact town officials in Victoria or Kenbridge if you would like to decorate your trunk or to make a donation for the event.

NOVEMBER 1

FALL FESTIVAL, 1-7 p.m. at Three Rivers Treatment Center, 231 Hickory Road, Kenbridge. Food, games, crafts, prizes, tours will be included in the days events. Free and open to the public.
