FOOD SAFETY FOR HUNTERS, 7-9 p.m. at the Robert and Betty Ragsdale Community Center, 20916 Old School Road, McKinney. This event, sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension will teach food safety concerns when harvesting Whitetail deer. Call the Dinwiddie Extension Office at (434) 463-4514 by Oct. 22 to reserve your seat.


COMMUNITY SUPPER, 5-7 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew, 512 S. Broad St., Kenbridge. Oktoberfest style meal will be served with drinks and desserts. Bring your friends and family. Event is free to the public.


LCHS FALL TOUR, 10 a.m. at Eppington Plantation, 14602 Eppes Falls Road, Chesterfield. Call or text (434) 480- 0284 to save your space by Wednesday, Oct. 16.

CAR WASH, 1 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church sponsored by the men’s ministry.

BRUNCH, 1 p.m. of the Friendship Baptist Church Women’s Ministry Pink and Pearls Breast Cancer/Cancer Awareness at 6351 South Hill Road, Kenbridge. Guest speaker will be Sharon Edmonds. RAINBOW TEA SERVICE, 2 p.m. at Gilfield Baptist Church, Kenbrige. Guest speaker, the Rev. Rosa Bedford with music by Steve Hurt and Company, Inner Peace and Jones Mockingbirds.

BENEFIT CONCERT, 6-9 p.m. for the Kim and Lee families at the Keysville United Methodist Church at 9290 Church St., Keysville featuring Prodigal Son, Sandra and Noah Hickman and the R. B. Clark family. There will be food and fellowship. A love offering will be taken at the door.


9TH PASTOR ANNIVERSARY, 1:30 p.m. for Pastor Paulette Hazelwood at Faith Worship Center, 1606 Norfolk Ave., Victoria. Apostle Ernest Farrar of Commandment Apostolic Worship Center, Blackstone, will be the Word giver. All are welcome.

79TH CHOIR ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Starlight Baptist Church. Appearing will be choirs from Pleasant Oak, First Baptist, Oak Grove, New Galilee, 30 Plus Praise Dancers, Bro. John Robertson and the Hylights of Joy, Gilfield, Unity Baptist and The Voices of Inspiration. All are welcome.

CHOIR ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. of the senior choir ministry at New Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Leon Jackson, pastor of the Zion Baptist Church, Farmville, will be the guest preacher. Music provided by the New Galilee Baptist Church Inspirational choir.


TRUNK OR TREAT, 5:30-7 p.m. in Victoria at the Victoria Railroad Park. The event for Kenbridge will held at the same time in the Kenbridge Town Hall parking lot, 511 E. Fifth Ave. Children up to 13 years of age are welcome. Contact town officials in Victoria or Kenbridge if you would like to decorate your trunk or to make a donation for the event.


FALL FESTIVAL, 1-7 p.m. at Three Rivers Treatment Center, 231 Hickory Road, Kenbridge. Food, games, crafts, prizes and tours. Free and open to the public.


149TH CHURCH ANNIVERSARY, 11 a.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Melinda Mays of First Baptist, Lawrenceville.

155TH CHURCH ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church, located at 3606 Kenbridge Road, Blackstone. The Rev. Cornelius Ogburn and the Amity Baptist Church of South Hill will be the guest church in charge. Dinner will be served. The public is welcome.


SEMINAR, 6:30 p.m. entitled “Be safe-use O.A.R.S.” (observe/ assess/react/secure) for your home/neighborhood at Kenbridge Town Hall. Event is free to the public.
