Legislators and superintendent of public instruction visit LCPS

Delegate Roslyn Tyler, Delegate Tommy Wright, Board of Supervisors Member Mike Hankins, members of the school board and Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. James Lane, visited Lunenburg County Public Schools (LCPS) on Friday, Nov. 22. Legislators and central office staff started out at the two elementary schools where they were greeted by new student council members and given tours of the schools, highlighting projects, programs and activities.

The group was joined by VDOE Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. James Lane and his staff, who visited Lunenburg Middle School and Central High School. Students and staff at each school were able to highlight programs and activities of special interest. Central High School’s new Microsoft TEALS Program and Teachers for Tomorrow Program were highlighted.
