School board sees changes
On Dec. 9, out going Lunenburg School Board members Elizabeth Williams and Ada Whitehead were honored for their service with a reception before the meeting and received a standing ovation during the meeting. Williams has served for 20 years, representing Love’s Mill – District 5, and Whitehead has served for eight years, representing Rehoboth – District 4.
Also recognized were Ruby Ingram who was elected to represent Love’s Mill – District 5 and Melanie Currin was elected to represent Rehoboth – District 4 during the November elections. They were sworn in by Clerk of the Court Gordon Erby, along with Kathy Coffee, Hound’s Creek – District 6, and Doug Aubel, Brown’s Store – District 2, who are returning for new terms. They will start their terms beginning Jan. 1.
