Julian M. Ingram, 93, of Victoria, passed away in his home on January 5, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie B. Ingram; sister, Virginia Austin; and special friend, Mildred Daniel.

He is survived by his son, Bryant Montague “Monty” Ingram (Pan) of Richmond; daughter,

Elizabeth “Liz” Tanksley (Don) of Victoria; grandchildren, Sarah Tanksley (Ramone),

Janice Hooton (Jerry), Rachel Sarkar (Sujoy), Schuyler Ingram; and great-grandchildren,

Virginia, Rusty, Jane, Claire Ashley; sister Mary Francis Dirks of Richmond. He is also survived my many nieces and nephews.

The family wants to give a special thanks to his caregivers, Sandra Marshall and Missy Lawson, as well as the Centra Hospice staff who all helped ensure Jimmie was able to spend his last days in his home.

Jimmie served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from the Railroad. Jimmie enjoyed cattle farming, dogs, feeding wild turkeys, and ACC college sports, especially the University of Virginia.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, Victoria, Va. A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria, on Thursday, January 9 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Victoria Rescue Squad or Laurel Hill United Methodist Church.
