Tilford Lee King was born on June 23, 1960 to Lloyd and Naomi Tisdale King in Lunenburg County, Virginia. Tilford made his transition to his new home on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Southside Regional Hospital, Petersburg, Virginia.

Tilford received his education in the Lunenburg County School system. He was baptized at an early age and joined New Grove Baptist Church. For a number of years, he was employed by American Builders, South Hill, Virginia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Naomi King.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Rashawn Holmes; one daughter, Tiffany Walker, both of South Hill, Virginia; three grandchildren, Jaiden, Jayla and Jazmine; three brothers, Wyndell King of South Hill, Virginia; Wayne King (CasSandra) of Richmond, Virginia, and Larry King of Hopewell, Virginia; one sister, Pattie Tisdale of South Hill, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at New Grove Baptist Church, Kenbridge, Virginia with the Rev. Dr. Curtis W. Bagley, Jr., Pastor. Interment was in the church cemetery.
