Three students from Kenbridge Elementary School recently received congratulations and certificates for their participation in the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) American History Essay Contest. The contest required students to write an essay on what it would have been like to sail to America on the Mayflower. This theme was chosen in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the landing of the Pilgrims at Plymouth Rock in 1620.
