December is over, but since I haven’t written an article in a while I wanted to share my daughter’s birthday celebration. My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time. Let me start from the beginning.
On Dec. 9 my sister and I took a plane to Florida. I had a window seat because I love to watch the plane take off. It was so great knowing we were leaving the cold and going where it will be warmer. Thank you Lord.
We went to Florida for two reasons: to see my daughter Jewel’s new house and to celebrate her 60th birthday,
When we got to Tampa my daughter picked us up at the airport and after we got all the bags, we went to get something to eat. Finally we made it to the house. This is Jewel’s first home and it is beautiful. She always said that God told her He will give her a special home and He was true to His word. When I entered the home it reminded me so much of her, I fell in love with it immediately.
Jewel’s 60th birthday was on Dec. 12, my husband and kids arrived in Orlando on the 10th to start a five day celebration. Jewel’s kids rented a 14 bedroom, 10 bathroom house for the family to stay in. Saying the house was amazing is an understatement, it was spectacular. The house had a pool, hot tub, game room, media room, outside living area etc …
We held Jewel’s party on the 13th. We had other family members come in town to help us celebrate. Jewel looked absolutely beautiful on her special day. My husband and I watched as her kids, grandkids, siblings, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncle told her how much she meant to them and how her love for the family has made us all better. It was a great night full of fun and love. We whispered to each other that God truly blessed us with our family and we thanked Him for His goodness and His mercies.
“Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” – Genesis 28:14.
