A fierce storm impacted Lunenburg County last night, and rain and high winds continued into the morning of Friday, Feb. 7, in the area.

Southside Electric Cooperatives reports, as of 1:45 p.m. Friday, that 553 members were without power in Lunenburg. Dominion Energy reports, as of 1:30 p.m. Friday, that 90 Lunenburg customers were without power.
