Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) has canceled classes next week in an attempt to mitigate the risks of the coronavirus.

A release from the community college said all classes will resume through virtual means or alternative delivery beginning Monday, March 23 and continue in that manner until at least Friday, April 3.

The school said students should check Canvas ( a program used to access class assignments) or contact their professors for class information. Students are asked to check their SVCC email accounts regularly for updates. More information will be provided next week regarding class delivery after April 3.

All campus events, both college sponsored and those by outside organizations are canceled through Saturday, April 4.
