Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

What is time?

Time is a measure in which events can be ordered from the past through the present into the future, and also the measure of durations of events and the intervals between them.

I’m listening to the radio and wondering where did the time go?

One day I’m living the carefree life of a child and the next day I am a senior citizen. It reminds me of the Rip Van Winkle story. A young man falls asleep and wakes up 20 years later as an old man. Don’t get me wrong, life is lovely as a senior, but it went by so fast. Sometimes I wonder how things could have been different.

I once heard that life comes with a fork in the road. You can go left or you can go right and whichever one you choose, it would dictate your future.

I often wonder just how different my life would have been had I chosen a different road. Would I have been a world-renowned opera singer? Judging from the way my family talks about my singing, I doubt it very seriously. Maybe a famous motivational speaker, maybe, who knows. But no matter which road I would have taken, time would have still caught up with me.

Time is scary, but it’s also beautiful. As a child we cannot wait to become an adult. As an adult, we wish for the days of the past. When you’re running late for work, time is like a race car, but once you get to the job, time slowly creeps on.

Pain and suffering can last for what seems like an eternity, while happiness seems to be fleeting. But no matter what, it is a blessing that the Lord has bestowed upon us. Be Blessed in Jesus’ Name.
