Pulliam returns to Southern Dominion Health Systems

Southern Dominion Health Systems has announced West Pulliam, PA-C has returned to Lunenburg Medical Center as of February, according to its Facebook page.

Pulliam earned his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Hampden-Sydney College. He continued his education at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in August 2000. He received his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska in August 2006.

Pulliam is trained in family medicine and emergency medicine. He worked with Southern Dominion Health Systems from 2003 until 2010 in family practice. He transitioned to emergency medicine at Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, from 2010 until 2017. Most recently he worked with Centra Medical Group in Family Medicine from January 2017 until returning to Lunenburg Medical Center in February 2020.

Pulliam is a board-certified physician assistant. He was born and raised in Lunenburg County. He is married with two children. His wife is a speech language pathologist, who is currently employed with Longwood University. He has a son in college at Virginia Commonwealth University and a daughter in eighth grade, who regularly competes in dance and gymnastics. He and his family currently reside in Victoria.

Pulliam is currently seeing patients at Lunenburg Medical Center Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
