The Church and Community Events calendar is published each Wednesday. Items must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Monday for that Wednesday’s calendar. Email events to CommunityCalendar@KVDispatch. com. Events that have been confirmed as canceled are noted. Please check with the event before assuming the event is still on.

FRIENDSHIP CAFES, sponsored by Piedmont Senior Resources will be closed. Services for home-delivered meals and non-emergency transportation program clients will not be interrupted, as these services are essential to most of the older adults’ day-to-day functions.

ALL SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church have been canceled until further notice.

ALL SERVICES, for Midway Union have been canceled until further notice to protect the members of our congregation.

ALL WORSHIP SERVICES EVENTS AND PROGRAMS are postponed at the Antioch Baptist Church, Keysville until further notice.

SERVICE BY RADIO, 11 a.m. hosted by Cameron Bailey pastor of Kenbridge Christian Church on 107.1 FM each Sunday from LGS (Lunenburg Girls Softball field) on Maple Street in Kenbridge. The closer to the ballfield, the better the reception.

MAY 11

RE-OPENING of the town office in Victoria and Victoria DMV Select at 9 a.m. If these plans change, the changes will be posted.

SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET, 7:30 p.m. at the Lunenburg Middle School Library. The board will adhere to the 10-person regulation for this meeting. Any person wishing to participate during public participation will need to contact Superintendent Charles Berkley on or before May 8.

MAY 12

TOWN COUNCIL MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Victoria Lunenburg Community Centre, 1421 6th Street, Victoria, in order to meet social distancing guidelines. A public hearing will be held at the beginning of the regular meeting on the proposed FY2021 budget.

MAY 19

TOWN COUNCIL MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Kenbridge Town Hall, 511 East 5th Ave. #2, Kenbridge.

TOWN ELECTIONS, 6 a.m.-7 p.m. Victoria polls will take place at the People’s Community Center, 1021 Tidewater Ave., Victoria. This is a change from the regular location at Victoria Fire and Rescue. Kenbridge polls will take place at the regular polling location at the Kenbridge Town Hall, 511 East 5th Ave., Kenbridge.
