Fifth COVID-19 case reported

Lunenburg County is reporting its fifth confirmed case of COVID-19 case since the coronavirus crisis began.

The statement from County Administrator Tracy Gee said Virginia Marble Manufacturers, Inc. has reported a worker at the facility has tested positive for the virus and is in quarantine. Gee said it was not known if the person is a resident of Lunenburg County and therefore the fifth case that is being reported by the Virginia Department of Health.

Gee said two of the five Lunenburg County people who have been diagnosed with the virus has recovered making the active case count in the county a total of three individuals.
