Firefighters from Kenbridge, Victoria and South Hill fire departments were on the scene of a fire at the Lignetics plant in Kenbridge Sunday afternoon June 7. The plant makes Wood Pellet Fuel. Ferrell Alder of the Kenbridge Fire Department said 12 fire units from the three departments battled the sawdust fire in the duct work of the plant for six hours. He said because the fire was contained to the duct work, no structural damage occurred. The cause of the fire was being investigated.
