Marcia Annette Hicks King was born in Maryland on May 5, 1944, to Mattie Chestee Hicks Morrison and was reared by her grandparents, Benjamin and Ida Ingram Hicks. Annette accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized and joined New Grove Baptist Church, Kenbridge. She received her education in the Lunenburg County public school system.

On Aug. 2, 1980 she was joined in holy matrimony to James K. King to this union one son was born.

On Saturday, April 22, at her home the Lord call her name to come to Him. Her husband, James K. King, preceded her in death.

Leaving to cherish her memory one son, Nikia K. King (Tajayla); five grandchildren, Nikiyah, NiKayla, J’Antre King, Kyaire King and Kamiyah King; three brothers, Denton R. Andrews, Ronald B. Morrison (Yolinda) and Cecil W. Andrew (Sharon) and many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, April 29, at New Grove Baptist Church, Kenbridge, Rev. Dr. Vanessa Hicks, Eulogist.
