Will Johnson shot an even-par round of 71 at the state championship, with the Kenston Forest player tying three others for the low score. Overall, the Kenston Forest golf team completed another successful season by going 25-2 in Virginia Colonial Conference play, with a general record of 25-3.

For his performance at the state level, Johnson was named VISAA Tournament Co-Medalist, VISAA Co-Player of the Year and was named to the VISAA All-State Team. The team just missed qualifying for the state tournament (the top six schools out of 31 qualified for the event); however, Will Johnson was chosen to compete as an individual based on his season-long scoring average.

Before that, during the VCC Tournament Championship, the Kavaliers finished second by three strokes. Senior Jake Calhoun won a VCC All-Academic title, while Johnson was named to the All-Conference tournament.

Six of the seven top golfers return next year and Kenston coaches say they look forward to continued success on the links. Kenston has finished in the top two in the Virginia Colonial Conference for the last 11 years.
