Kathy Garber WrayKathy Garber Wray, 68 of Victoria, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 29. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Garber and Betty Morrisette Gordon and a brother, David Garber.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harvey C. Wray; her son Justin Clement (Samantha) of Victoria; step-daughters, Julie Blalock (Mike) of Victoria and Amanda W. Joyce of Chatham; grandchildren, Kaytlin and Kaleb Clement, Devin, Austin and Colton Blalock, Logan Kucz and Andrew and Cara Joyce; a brother, Michael Garber (Cory) of Northern Virginia; numerous cousins, a niece, a nephew, many friends and her fur baby, Champ. 

Kathy was born Dec. 26, 1955. She grew up in Colonial Heights and graduated from Colonial Heights High School where she excelled in athletics. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in office administration from Longwood College in 1978. She was a dedicated employee having worked at Diemolding Inc., Southern Maintenance, Piedmont Geriatric Hospital and most recently was a fiscal technician for Lunenburg County Public Schools. She enjoyed playing the piano, flowers, gardening, decorating, cross-stitching and painting. 

She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family, especially her grandchildren.

Her decades long battle with cancer came to an end at her home under hospice care. She was a member of the Victoria Baptist Church. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan 3,from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge, where funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, at 2 p.m..
