Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Well, February is winding down. It is a good month. It is the month that we celebrate love with Valentine’s Day. It is a month set aside to celebrate Black History. Both of these are things that we should celebrate year-round.

It is also the month when we wait for that most famous of rodents, the groundhog, to poke his head out and see his shadow or not, supposedly determining the course of the weather for the next 6 weeks. I have a couple of fake knees and a sensitive sinus cavity that can help with that!

I also discovered that February is Library Lovers Month! Who knew? And I agree that we should love our libraries. They are wonderful places. Libraries offer a nice sanctuary away from the rush of the world. It is a place of peace to enjoy a quiet moment. It is a pleasant place to acquire information and knowledge.

The internet is a great tool and resource provided by the library. However, believe it or not, the internet might not provide everything you may be seeking.

The library is a source of books on all subjects. We have many collections, histories, genealogies and information on local events and places. Magazines, newspapers, video and audio resources round out the selections available to our patrons.

There is also the opportunity to connect with people through organizational meetings, music, children’s programming, homeschool connections and a vast array of other activities for all interests and ages.

The library is a community, hopefully, your community! You never know who or what you may encounter here!

Come see us!

Be good!
