March has been a busy month at Ripberger Public Library. We have a colorful display of Dr. Seuss books in honor of Read Across America Day, which was Saturday, March 2. It’s an exciting time to e-read our favorite Dr. Seuss books such as “Cat in the Hat”, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, or “There’s a Wocket in my Pocket.” 

So many, it’s hard to pick a favorite. Following our Dr. Seuss display, we had a great time talking about the St. Patrick’s Day books on display, including “St. Patrick’s Day” by Gail Gibbons and “St. Patrick’s Day” by Anne Rockwell. Always fun to participate in the “wearin’ of the green!” and thinking about the wee leprechauns looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The next big March event falls on Sunday, March 31, which brings us an early Easter! 

We have our Easter tree decorated along with books on display and ready for check out. We can’t wait to hear your stories about your Easter Egg hunts and your visit with the Easter Bunny. Many of you will be wearing your Sunday best! I know there will be some handsome young men and lovely young ladies out and about town. Also, please remember that we always have crafts available at Ripberger Public Library. Come see me to complete an Easter craft to share with family and friends.
