“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14.

“How many times can Jesus bless us in a day?” I pondered this question as I thought about the blessings that Jesus bestows upon us. The song reminds us to count our blessings and acknowledge what the Lord has done for us. Every morning, when we wake up, it’s a new day and a fresh opportunity to make positive changes in our lives with Jesus’ guidance. There are certain things and places we avoid because Jesus is helping us improve our lives. He takes away our sorrows and brings us back to life.

I consider everything in my life a blessing. Yesterday, a small child approached me at church and asked if he could help me. That was one of the greatest blessings I received. I was delighted and grateful for his kindness. I hugged him and thanked him for thinking of me. It was heartwarming to see such love and compassion in a child. He is the only child in church who shouts “Hallelujah!” and I believe it’s because Jesus has put love in his heart. I am grateful to Jesus for this child and for his family who are raising him with such love and care. As Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when is old, he will not depart from it.”

Manley and I were headed to church when we noticed something unusual in the yard. We looked over to the pool where the geese were swimming and were surprised to see a white goose among them. We hadn’t seen one before, but unfortunately, we didn’t have time to stop and admire it. However, this turned out to be a blessing because I always enjoy watching them, and soon we’ll have baby geese! They’re so small, the size of a little chick, and incredibly adorable.

“I love watching them cross the street. They move like a well-trained team. The leader takes charge and watches for any incoming cars. The second one stands on the side and keeps an eye on the leader. And the last one is at the back, making sure they all cross and stay in line. It’s a beautiful sight to behold. Every time I witness this, I feel grateful for the beauty that surrounds us. We often forget to appreciate the little things in life, but they are what make life worthwhile.”

When we step outside, let’s take a moment to observe our surroundings and breathe in the fresh air. The weather is shifting, and it won’t be long before we can take leisurely walks, appreciate the blooming flowers, and listen to the birds chirping. It is yet another blessing from Jesus.

Remember that Jesus blesses us even when we are unaware. Always keep in mind that Jesus loves and protects us.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
