One Kenbridge resident will mark an important date later this week, as Laura C. Sanford celebrates her 104th birthday. That’ll be on Friday, April 5. According to her children, Mrs. Sanford has lived in Kenbridge her entire life and is a member of Saint Matthew’s Baptist Church. She worked in Lunenburg County Public Schools and even after retiring, she still volunteered in the system. Sanford is the mother of two daughters, Jacqueline S. Haskins and Wanda S. Hill (Sidney). They say her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren call her granny and she loves it.
