“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” — Psalm 19:14.

Today, I woke up and felt grateful for all the blessings that Jesus has bestowed upon me. I thanked Him for the opportunity to travel to Florida for the third time this year. My son, Michael (son-in-law) made my favorite dish, lima beans and ham hocks.

In the air, we encountered a storm, but I was not afraid since Jesus had us in His hands. We were blessed as the plane landed safely. Thank you, Jesus.

“My daughter, Jewel, met me and we went to brunch. We laughed all the way to her house. She asked me what I wanted to do and I said I wanted to do a bit of everything since I was going to spend time with my grandchildren. Being with them is always an exciting experience.”

Jewel, Krayola, my granddaughter, and Marcus, my grandson, and I went to “Paint With A Twist,” and our paintings were put on Instagram. When we arrived, I was hoping we wouldn’t be in the first room but as the instructor continued, I said a little prayer. In our room, there were three women – a mother and two daughters.

We began to laugh and joke around, and the instructor started to share something about her life. Her story was interesting; she was a test tube baby. When we asked if she ever told anyone her story, she said no, because they never stayed in one place long enough. The mother and daughters then joined in on the conversation, and we admired each other’s paintings. The mother and daughters have been to this painting studio before, and they have many beautiful paintings.

Krayola, my granddaughter, and I went to a craft shop to do some painting. I painted an angel while Kray painted a jewelry box. We left our projects to dry and they should be ready for pickup in a couple of days. I’m excited to see how they turned out. I now have two gifts to take home, my angel painting and my painting from Paint with a Twist.

“On Monday, Marcus will take me bowling, and on Tuesday, Kray will take me line dancing before I catch my plane to go home. I am grateful to Jesus for allowing me to do the things I have always dreamt of doing. I remember reading about someone traveling and having fun, and I said to the Lord, ‘One of these days, I will be doing the same.’ Today, Lord, I thank You for giving me the desires of my heart. I know that because of You, all things are possible.”

“Jesus, you blessed me so much that I decided to extend my stay. And Father, because of your love, I was not charged a fee for the extension of my flight and was also given a gift card worth $22.90 which I can use before 2025. Jesus, you keep on blessing me. I know that I cannot earn your blessings, but I appreciate your love and forgiveness.”

I am grateful for the opportunity to spend time with my son, Mark, my grandson, Mel, and my future granddaughter, Lila. Lila is a wonderful person, warm and caring. We went shopping together for a dress for her to wear at the Roaring Twenties Party and I Thank you, Jesus, for blessing me with such a wonderful day.

Today, blessings seem to be everywhere from family and strangers. I learned a new phrase, “Love on me.”

As you go about your day or week, you will come to realize how much Jesus has blessed you. Jesus loves you and it’s important to show appreciation for His love and care. Take a moment to thank Jesus for everything in your life, including your family, friends, and even strangers.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
